If I hear or read one more time that it could be Miller time in Boston...

...I'm going to throw up. Boston is a Sam Adams town, but regardless, reports are that Reggie Miller is contemplating joining the Celtics in a reserve role. Well good! They just traded away their entire bench for Kevin Garnett!!

It has been a while since we've seen a team sign an old veteran in hopes of attaining that ring that they never could get. Not since the days of The Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks, oh wait...The point is, free agents have a little too much power in the NBA. Play your rookie contract, sign maybe one or two long term deals, and then sign with a contender for a novelty role on the squad.

I guess you can't really hate the player or the game. It is just the nature of the beast. Hell, Kevin Willis finally got a ring last year at the ripe age of 752 after signing a deal with San Antonio as the season was drawing to an end.

Now maybe all these seasoned vets that have not really enjoyed too much success in the playoffs can finally bring a ring to Beantown and bring their careers to an end on a high note. That's if, Glen Davis doesn't eat them first...
